  • Leadership Riverside held part of its Law & Justice Day in our office where participants heard from, left to right, DA Mike Hestrin, Chief Probation Officer Mark Hake, and Public Defender Steve Harmon.

     

  • These staff members are part of a mentorship program in the Law and Protective Services (LAPS) program at John W. North High School in Riverside which offers students the chance to explore careers in law and protective services.

     

  • About two dozen volunteers from our office spent a Saturday going through produce for the FIND (Food In Need of Distribution) Food Bank in Indio. Last year, FIND provided more than 5 million pounds of fresh produce to people in the Coachella Valley.

     

  • Our office continues to Take A Stand against domestic violence. This is a display of photos in our downtown Riverside office lobby showing many of those who are taking a stand.

     

  • Members of the Corona Chamber of Commerce heard from DA Mike Hestrin during a morning at our office learning about what we do and the criminal justice system.

     

  • Our College Academy undergrad interns were given a behind-the-scene tour of the California 4th District Court of Appeal/Division Two in Riverside. They also heard oral arguments on a local case.

     

  • The dangers of manufacturing butane honey oil (BHO) were discussed at a news conference. A victim burned over 97 percent of her body in a BHO lab explosion in Palm Springs was interviewed by media.

     

  • Mike Hestrin is sworn in as Riverside County District Attorney as his wife looks on at a ceremony held Jan. 5, 2015, at the Riverside Historic Courthouse. Superior Court Judge Christian Thierbach administered the oath of office.
