2019 Citizens' Academy

Citizens’ Academy Overview
The Riverside County District Attorney’s Office is now offering an 10-week Citizens’ Academy. The Citizens' Academy will provide an inside look at the function of the District Attorney’s Office within the criminal justice system in Riverside County. Participants will receive a comprehensive tutorial regarding the judicial process with seminars led by Riverside County’s top prosecutors, investigators, law enforcement officers and other public safety officials.  Citizens will be introduced to various divisions within the office as well as the staff, the filing process of a case, and many other topics of public interest.   
The Citizens' Academy is offered at no cost. Applicants must pass a background check and commit to a 10-week curriculum offered one evening each week.
The 2019 Citizens’ Academy will begin on January 24, 2019. It will be held at the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office in downtown Riverside. The academy will be held on Thursday evenings from 6-9 p.m.
Space is limited and we will be accepting the first 80 applicants.
Applications for the 2019 Citizens’ Academy are currently being accepted. The application due date is October 29, 2018. Applicants must be 18 years old or older and live or work in Riverside County. Please attach a resume with your application.
