INDIO – A Riverside County judge sentenced a man to death today, Aug. 30, 2019, for the murders of Palms Springs police Officers Jose Gilbert “Gil” Vega and Lesley Zerebny.

RIVERSIDE – A man on the run from authorities with his young son for nearly two years has been located in Mexico by the Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force and returned to Riverside County to face justice.

RIVERSIDE – A Corona couple pled guilty today, Aug. 20, 2019, to the murder of their newborn baby, known as “Baby Jane”, whose body was found last year in a cardboard box near a drain tunnel running under Interstate 15 in Corona.

RIVERSIDE – Today, August 16, 2019, District Attorney Mike Hestrin announced that a criminal grand jury has returned an indictment against the former mayor of Palm Springs and two local developers in connection with a public corruption case involving about $375,000 in bribes paid to the former mayor of Palm Springs.
