Dear Prospective Asset Forfeiture Special Fund Applicant,
You are invited to apply for this year’s Special Fund Grant Program. The distribution of the funds through the Special Fund Grant Program is determined by a panel consisting of the Riverside County District Attorney, the Riverside County Sheriff, the City of Riverside Police Chief, and the Riverside County Chief Probation Officer.
These funds are set aside by the Legislature to develop and maintain intervention programs that combat drug abuse and divert gang activity. The target audience for these funds are high-risk elementary and secondary school age children. Funding priority will be given to programs that use the money to directly benefit the target audience. Examples of uses of funds include guest speaker fees, computer equipment, printed material, school supplies, transportation to/from activities, etc. Funds are not intended to cover overhead costs such as rent, utilities, or personnel. Funds are only available for Riverside County-based programs. The application can be submitted online only at:
All applications must include the following documents:
- a complete and current W-9 form;
- IRS Determination Letter (if your organization is an IRS 501(c)(3) organization); and
- a letter on your organization’s letterhead explaining how your organization qualifies for this special fund grant program and why it should be selected.
These are required documents. The failure to upload any of the required attachments may delay the processing of or result in the rejection of your application. We are also interested in seeing the public outreach and community involvement featured on your social media accounts so please be sure to identify your organization’s social media accounts.
