Victims' Rights Week

Victims' Rights Week

A Candle Lit For You

I've never seen an angel
With such beautiful wings
I lived and loved for you
Above all things

You have blessed my life
In every way, I suffer this loss
Through each day

Now I hold this candle
In remembrance of you
Though it is hard to handle
It will forever burn for you

Through my tears
And through my pain
I will face my fears
And continue to gain

I stand here tonight
Thinking only of you
I will not stop the fight
Of bringing justice through

I will love you
I will not forget you
This is the light
That will get me through

Candle for you

Justice for victims cannot be achieved by any one individual or agency. Justice is achieved through the dedication and collaboration of many. Help us demonstrate that crime victims deserve to be heard and they are not forgotten. One way to do that is to participate each April when we honor crime victims and their loved ones by observing National Crime Victims' Rights Week.
