Chapter 9 - Teamwork

CHAPTER 9 - TEAMWORK

Strong Foundation for Innovation and Collaboration

Our office is fortunate to have a state-of-the-art Data Analytics team and Technology Services Bureau that ensure our information systems operate securely and effectively, creating a strong foundation for innovation and collaboration.

Building on this expertise, we were delighted to host a delegation from the Korean Ministry of Justice’s Office of Criminal Justice Information System for an international exchange focused on criminal justice technology.

Attendance Awareness Month

#AttendanceAwarenessWednesdays continues with Senior Victim Services Specialist Julio Perez and Deputy District Attorney Aaron Griffin as our Crime Prevention Unit shares tips to keep your child excited about school for Attendance Awareness Month!

Supporting Students Through Community Partnership

Members of our Crime Prevention Unit and Bureau of Investigation had the honor of joining Harvest Valley Elementary School’s College and Career Day to share their educational and professional journeys with students.

As we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, we’re especially grateful for the strong relationships we’ve built with educators and schools across Riverside County. These partnerships make it possible to inspire young learners to dream big and explore future career paths from an early age!

Inspiring the Next Generation Through Community Engagement

Deputy DA Aaron Griffin and Victim Services Supervisor Lauren Valles participated in the Resiliency in the Valley Symposium, where they shared their insights about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and the work our office is doing to increase knowledge and protective factors in Riverside County. The event, organized by @rivco_publichealth and Resilience Initiative through Support and Empowerment (RISE), focused on the impacts of early exposure to trauma and violence, with an emphasis on supporting the health and resilience of the San Jacinto/Hemet Valley community.

Strengthening Community Connections Through Outreach and Engagement

Recently, MDDA Jess Walsh and DDA Sarah Orozco provided critical insight through their presentations on sexual assault at the California District Attorneys Association Adult Sexual Assault Conference. MDDA Walsh focused on vulnerable victims, highlighting their unique challenges and needs while emphasizing the importance of tailored support and intervention strategies. DDA Orozco addressed sex offender registration, discussing the legal frameworks and procedures necessary to manage and monitor offenders effectively.
