Community Connections in Action
Respect also means showing up for families and youth in meaningful ways. At the Soboba Tribal TANF Program’s annual Family Resource Fair, members of our Crime Prevention Unit, Victim Services Division, and partners from SAFE FJC joined together to share resources with the community and to connect with families to provide support, education, and encouragement.
The event highlighted how resource sharing builds bridges between agencies and communities. By offering guidance and promoting higher education, the Soboba Tribal TANF Program and our staff together demonstrated that empowering youth is a collective responsibility.
Inspiring the Next Generation
Community outreach is a vital part of fostering respect between our office and tribal communities. This commitment was on display at a recent career fair at Sherman Indian High School, the oldest formal education institution in Riverside County. Here, members of the Crime Prevention and Tribal Units spoke with students about the role of the District Attorney’s Office and the many career paths available.
These conversations not only raised awareness about justice-related careers but also inspired students to imagine futures in public service. By investing time and attention in youth, our office demonstrates that respect is also about planting seeds for the next generation to carry forward the values of justice and community well-being.
